In the morning on 24th September 2014, an international prosecutor of the Mitrovica Basic Prosecution Office, assisted by EULEX Police, executed an international arrest warrant issued by INTERPOL for R.K., northern Kosovo.

The arrest operation was conducted as part of an ongoing murder investigation, involving the suspected criminal offences of Aggravated Murder, Attempted Aggravated Murder, Unauthorized Ownership, Control, Possession of Weapons and Obstructing Official Persons in Performing Official Duties.

The murder charges relate to the murder of KP officer E.Z. on 26th July, 2011 and the attack on the KP convoy in which he was travelling at the time he was murdered.
Unfortunately the suspect was not at the location and so no further action was taken at this time.
