A panel of three EULEX judges at the Basic Court of Mitrovicë/a convicted one person on charges of co-perpetration of aggravated murder, aggravated murder, attempted aggravated murder and unauthorized ownership, control or possession of weapons and two others for murder.

M.K. was sentenced to an aggregate punishment of 20 years of imprisonment for all the aforementioned criminal offences. B.K. was sentenced to nine years and E.K. was sentenced to an aggregate sentence of seven years and one month of imprisonment for the murder of I.K..

The three defendants were convicted of ambushing and killing I.K.. M.K. was also found guilty of killing the daughter, A.K.i, and of wounding the son A.K. who ultimately managed to escape.

The case was prosecuted by a EULEX public prosecutor.
