EULEX would like to rebut the article on the Express newspaper dated April 12, 2012, which claims that an international prosecutor has allegedly announced the arrests of several government officials.

EULEX, for obvious reasons, has no comments on the allegations. We would like to emphasize that no responsible EULEX member or other staff involved in criminal procedures would offer information of this nature.

EULEX does not announce arrests or comment on on-going investigations.

We trust that the media will show some discretion and avoid speculating on the work EULEX is doing in the rule of law area.
