Today, EULEX forensic experts and their local counterparts from the Department of Forensic Medicine (DFM) handed over the remains of four more individuals who went missing in 1999 during the Kosovo conflict. The remains were handed over to the representatives of the Serbian Government Commission for Missing Persons at DFM in Pristina. The members of the Kosovo Government Commission for Missing Persons and Ministry of Justice were present as well.

Yesterday, 5 April 2012, the remains of four individuals were handed over at Merdar/Merdare.

Since EULEX experts joined DFM in December 2008, the remains of over 291 individuals have been returned to families.
