Today Kosovo Police and EULEX War Crime Unit carried out the arrest of an individual in the context of a war crime investigation. The charges relate to murder and inhumane treatment of civilians in Kosovo in May 1999.

This morning’s operation was conducted with the assistance of a special operations unit of the Kosovo Police.

A house search was carried out in Lipjan/Lipljan as part of this investigation. The operation was duly authorized by a EULEX pre-trial judge of Pristina District Court.

The investigation is under the supervision of a Kosovo Special Prosecutor from the Special Prosecution Office (SPRK).
