A panel of three EULEX judges at the Mitrovica Basic Court delivered a verdict on 5 June 2013 in the case of Goxhuli et alia, for the murder of I.I. and M.I., attempted aggravated murder of B.I., and the attempted murder of A.G..
S.G. was found guilty on the charges of aggravated murder of I.I. and M.I., and unauthorized ownership, control, possession or use of weapons. The court acquitted him on the charge of attempted aggravated murder of B.I.. He was sentenced to an aggregate punishment of fourteen and a half years of prison.
A.G. was found guilty of committing the criminal offence of unauthorized ownership, control, possession or use of weapons, while the court acquitted him of the charges of aggravated murder and attempted aggravated murder. A.G. was sentenced to one year of imprisonment.
The court found A.G. guilty on all charges including: aggravated murder of I.I. and M.I., attempted aggravated murder of B.I., and unauthorized ownership, control, possession or use of weapons. A.G. was sentenced to an aggregated punishment of twenty years of imprisonment.
The defendant B.I. was found not guilty and thus acquitted of committing the criminal offence of attempted murder of A.G..
The case was prosecuted by a EULEX prosecutor from Mitrovica.
This was a retrial based on a ruling of the Court of Appeal given on 25 March 2013.
