A mixed panel of three EULEX judges and two Kosovo judges, presided over by a EULEX judge, at the Supreme Court rejected the appeals of B.H. and S.Q. in the so-called Bill Clinton Boulevard Bombing case. This is the second appeal of the defendants where the Supreme Court decided in the capacity of a third instance.
The panel rejected the appeals of B.H. and S.Q. as ungrounded upholding the previous decision of the Supreme Court which was then acting as a second instance. At that time, the Supreme Court panel modified the verdict of the District Court of Pristina to convict the defendants for the criminal offences of aggravated murder in co-perpetration and grievous bodily harm in co-perpetration.
The case concerns an explosion that occurred in the ground floor of a building located in the Bill Clinton Boulevard, Dardania area in Pristina on 24 September 2009. As a result of the explosion, two persons lost their lives and several persons were injured.
The case was prosecuted by a EULEX prosecutor from the Office of the State Prosecutor of Kosovo.
