A EULEX prosecutor from the District of Prizren has formally initiated the investigation into the war crimes committed in the village of Krusha e Vogel/Mala Krusa on 25 and 26 of March 1999.
So far, the prosecution has identified 56 potential defendants who would be facing charges of war crimes against the civilian population, including the killing of 113 villagers in total, deportation of the whole women and infant population from the village, pillage and destruction of property.
The massacre in Krusha e Vogel/Mala Krusa is allegedly one of the largest mass killings that took place during the 1999 conflict in Kosovo.
