EULEX has appointed Anne Signe Justesen as the new Head of Kosovo’s Special Prosecution Office. Justesen has almost thirty years of experience in the rule of law field in Denmark. This includes ten years working as a Chief Constable with responsibility for running joint prosecutor and police teams and investigations.
“I’m very much looking forward to this job, combining the executive work with management, and cooperation with the local counterparts and the investigating police”, said Signe Justesen.
Previously, Anne Signe Justesen worked for EULEX as an advisor for the newly established Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC).
“With my previous experience a t the KPC I’m aware of many of the problems and challenges that my local counterparts face. This will help in strengthening even further the cooperation between the prosecutors at SPRK”, said Justesen.
Separately, the mission has selected a new EULEX Chief Prosecutor who is due to arrive in Kosovo shortly to take up the position. More details on this will come shortly.
