A EULEX pre-trial judge of the District Court of Prishtinë/Priština has ordered the four individuals arrested yesterday the following restrictive measures:
The suspects should report to a police station once a week for a period of one month.
The suspects are prohibited from approaching each other as well as witnesses and families of the victims.
The pre-trial judge ordered the suspects not to go closer than 300 meters to a number of people including witnesses and members of families of the victims directly or through any other person and/or means. The suspects were told that detention on remand would be imposed on them if these measures are violated.
In addition, today, EULEX Executive Police have arrested a fifth individual listed in the arrest warrant. The pre-trial judge of the District Court of Prishtinë/Priština has ordered same restrictive measures as for other suspects.
The arrests are part of an investigation related to allegations of aggravated murder and attempted aggravated murder committed in 1999 and 2000.
The investigation is headed by a prosecutor from the Kosovo Special Prosecution Office. The arrests were authorised by a EULEX pre-trial judge.
