On 12 May 2015, 3:00 p.m., at the Pristina airport a helicopter owned and operated by the Starlite Aviation company, contracted by the EULEX Mission in Kosovo to provide transportation services, had an accident during an emergency landing. The helicopter was on a training flight with a medical evacuating team consisting of two HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service - a doctor and a paramedic) and two pilots. One of the HEMS members suffered injuries and was immediately taken to Pristina University Hospital. EULEX personnel also provided medical support. There were no EULEX staff members on board.
