On 8 August in Pristina, EULEX Acting Head of Mission, Bernd Thran, donated office equipment to the Women's Centre for Support and Development in Novo Brdo/ Novobërdë
 
Antonius Van Der Velden, the Mission’s acting Gender Advisor, who coordinated the initiative, highlighted the importance of the joint initiative and said: “This donation contributes to the common efforts to promote the effective empowerment of women.”
 
Vesna Stajić, Head of the Women’s Centre for Support and Development expressed her gratitude for the donation and long-standing EULEX support to the shelter’s activities: “Since the beginning of the work of our shelter, EULEX has always been supporting our activities through donations. Today’s donation has a special significance, as it will allow us to provide a better service to women in need and advance our work”.

The Acting Head of EULEX praised Ms Stajić for the importance of the daily work and activities of the Women’s Centre for Support and Development and its role in raising awareness and combatting domestic violence in Kosovo
