On 1 November, the Head of the Press Office and Spokesperson for EULEX, Ioanna Lachana, spoke at a “Journalism School for Judges” workshop organized in Skopje, North Macedonia, by the Association of Judges of North Macedonia and the U.S. Embassy. During the workshop, which brought together judges, spokespersons for the courts, and journalists from North Macedonia, Lachana presented ways to bridge the communication divide between judges and journalists, as well as best practices to improve the communication among them. “Understanding journalists’ expectations is a prerequisite for successful communication,” said EULEX’s Spokesperson, adding that judges and court spokespersons should provide journalists with accurate, credible, useful, and timely information, using all available communication channels, both online and offline.
