The penitentiary expert from the European External Action Service, Lars Widholm, came to Kosovo for a four-day visit to better understand the cooperation between EULEX and our local counterparts.

Along with the Chief of EULEX's Correctional Unit, Ritva Vahakoski, he met yesterday, in Pristina at the Kosovo Correctional Service HQ, with the Replacing General Director of the Kosovo Correctional Service, Ali Gashi, and he visited the High Security Prison in Podujevë/Podujevo, where he had a very informative discussion with the Prison Director, Rasim Selmani.  Widholm commended the fact that the institution, among other things, gives the possibility to communicate through video calls with their families. Today he visited the Dubrava Correctional Center where he met with the Acting Director, Zyrafete Imeraj.
