Forensic experts of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) are supporting the Kosovo Institute of  Forensic Medicine (IFM) in the field work to search for missing persons: a complex process that requires the cooperation of forensic specialists and involved parties.

In particular, EULEX's forensic archaeologist is providing technical expertise in the excavation at the Stavajl site in Serbia, while EULEX's forensic anthropologist supported the IFM in the exhumation of remains in Pllanjanë/ Planjane in Kosovo.

Last week, EULEX's forensic anthropologist supported the assessment of two locations in the region of Kamenicë/Kamenica.
