The Head of EULEX’s Press and Public Information Office and Spokesperson, Ioanna Lachana, participated as a speaker in the Annual Conference of the Central and Eastern European Judicial Exchange Network, organized by the CEELI Institute in Prague on 12 and 13 May. The conference, which brought together some 35 judges and legal experts from the region, also included a panel discussion on the role of judges in the society and the importance of public communication. As part of this panel, Lachana focused her intervention on the importance of proactive judicial communication on behalf of the courts. She also presented concrete transparency initiatives and examples of successful outreach activities aimed increasing the transparency of the judiciary.
