On 19 September, the European Union rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) hosted a Delegation from the Swedish Prison and Probation Service (SPPS). SPPS International Affairs Experts, Mohamed Gulied and Eva Parry, met the Acting Chief of EULEX’s Correctional Unit, Peeter Naaks, alongside the Swedish staff members of the Correctional Unit.

The delegation also met with the EULEX’s Acting Head of Monitoring Pillar, Hubert van Eck Koster, who briefed them about the different mentoring, monitoring and advising activities carried out by the Mission to support the Kosovo Correctional Service and the Kosovo Probation Service.

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is s steadfast supporter of the EULEX’s Correctional Unit and, during their visit, SPPS’s representatives expressed readiness to continuing support the Mission by seconding Swedish experts who contribute to the fulfillment of EULEX’s mandate.
