On 24 March 2024, the flag ceremony of the official handover of the Formed Police Unit (FPU) of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) took place at the EULEX Center Mitrovica.

During the ceremony, the incoming Commander of the XXXVI rotation of the EULEX FPU, Major Krzysztof Kosiński, and the outgoing Commander of the XXXV EULEX FPU, Captain Robert Stosio, thanked the police officers for their service in Kosovo and wished them a happy return to their country.

The EULEX FPU, which consists of 105 Polish Police Officers seconded by Poland, is Kosovo’s second security responder, as part of a three-layer security responder mechanism where Kosovo Police is the first security responder, EULEX is the second one, and NATO- KFOR is the third security responder.
