On Friday 30 September 2016, the EULEX Special Police Department, Polish Formed Police Unit and Kosovo Police officers from both the south and north, held a joint training exercise in Camp Belvedere in Mitrovica.

The first segment of the training exercise was focused on the teamwork of the officers during crowd-and-riot control (CRC) operations, while the second part included a scenario where KP North and South police officers were embedded in one platoon conducting a CRC operation.

The training exercise was held in a very constructive and friendly atmosphere, which was also highlighted by the EULEX Deputy Head of Mission, Bernd Thran, who addressed the KP Officers after the training. 

Similar trainings exercises will be scheduled for all these units in the near future.
