The EULEX Head of Mission Ms. Alexandra Papadopoulou met today with Ms. Rebecca Agule, Clinical Advocacy Fellow from the Harvard Law School Human Rights Program and law students Christian Hines, Katrina Braun and Jared Small to discuss EULEX’s efforts to strength rule of law institutions in Kosovo. Ms. Papadopoulou briefed the team on the Mission’s current mandate, the Strengthening Division’s progressive transfer of the monitoring, mentoring and advising (MMA) activities to other actors, the Executive Division’s handover of cases to Kosovo institutions and the sustainability of reforms.  As part of a project on toxic remnants of war, the team is visiting Kosovo to research attitudes and concerns around the depleted uranium that was deployed during the Kosovo conflict.
