EULEX Deputy Head of Mission, Bernd Thran, welcomed a group of some 120 master students in Human Rights from the European Interuniversity Centre (EIUC) and from the European Master's Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation (EMA) visiting EULEX today.
The students were engaged in an interactive presentation of the new EULEX mandate and the Mission’s work to support the Kosovo rule of law institutions.
EULEX Political Advisor Ismije Beshiri, EULEX Human Rights Officer Valentina Vitali, and the Spokesperson for EULEX Ioanna Lachana, also provided an overview of the political situation in Kosovo, the work of the EULEX Human Rights and Legal Office, and the overall Mission activities.
The questions and the lively discussions that followed showed once more the importance to engage with the youth to promote the rule of law and the commitment of the European Union in the field.
