Today, EULEX Head of Mission, Alexandra Papadopoulou, visited the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr Ekrem Mustafa. She reconfirmed EULEX’s commitment to assisting the Ministry and relevant rule of law institutions under its responsibilities in line with the Mission’s new reconfigured mandate, including as second security responder upon Kosovo Police’s request as well as in supporting the implementation of relevant agreements stemming from the EU-facilitated Dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina in the area of freedom of movement and integrated border management. The Minister thanked Ms Papadopoulou for EULEX’s continued assistance and assured the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ full cooperation in joint work.
