EULEX organized a four-day workshop on prison security for the Kosovo Correctional Service (KCS) in Dubrava.
The aim of the workshop was to train correctional officers on prison security, including static, procedural and dynamic security, elaborate on the concept of risk and contingency planning, and increase their response capacities in different crisis situations.
Jeton Mehmetaj, Acting Director of the Dubrava Correctional Center said: “EULEX Correctional Unit in Kosovo has supported us in various ways. In addition to monitoring and advising, we have also received different training courses. This course was very useful to the staff of the Dubrava center, both officers and supervisors. Two important topics were presented during the workshop, one focused on security and the other on risk evaluation.”
The EULEX Correctional Unit continues to support the KCS in increasing its capacities in security planning, security assessment, risk analysis and assessment, contingency planning and other security-related fields.
