At the request of a Prosecutor from the Kosovo Special Prosecution Office (SPRK), on 21 June 2014, the pre-trial Judge from the Prishtina/Priština Basic Court ordered a one month Detention on Remand for U.R. suspected of having committed the criminal offences of Organised Crime in conjunction with the offences of Fraud, Trading in Influence, Smuggling of Migrants and Abuse of official Position or Authority.

The pretrial judge at the Pristina Basic Court found that there is a substantial risk that the defendant will flee the jurisdiction, and there is also a concrete risk of witnesses' intimidation.

U.R. was arrested on 20 June 2014 based on an order issued by a SPRK Prosecutor

The parties have the right to appeal.
