EULEX confirms that four defendants in the so called "Drenica Group" case have arrived in Mitrovicë/Mitrovica and the first hearing of the main trial in the Mitrovicë/Mitrovica Basic Court has started this morning.

EULEX continues to assist the Kosovo authorities in order to end the current situation at the UCCK and expects the three remaining defendants to be transferred to the Mitrovicë/Mitrovica Basic Court.

Again, we reiterate that the rule of law is not negotiable and is the cornerstone of any democratic society.
