A EULEX judge partially confirmed the indictment against five defendants in the so-called March 2008 riots case. The indictment was fully confirmed against a sixth defendant and dismissed against another. The judge partially confirmed the indictment against M.I., D.M., M.R., A.K. and N.J.. The indictment was fully confirmed against Z.C. and dismissed against A.A..The confirmation judge also found the evidence contained in the case file as admissible in its entirety.

The defendants were charged in the indictment in relation to the unlawful attack on the premises of the District Court in the northern part of Mitrovicë /Mitrovica during 14-17 March 2008. These events led to the death of one Ukrainian International Police Officer, injuries to many others, including KFOR and civilians.

The case is being prosecuted by a EULEX District prosecutor.
