Francesco Florit, President of the Assembly of the EULEX judges, representing the mission at the 4th meeting of the Anti-Corruption Council stated that the fight against corruption was a priority for EULEX and that a public information campaign had been launched for the purpose of raising awareness about this phenomenon.

The meeting, chaired by President Jahjaga, elaborated on 14 action points related to the fight against corruption. President Jahjaga emphasised the contribution of the citizens in the work of the Anti-Corruption Agency and argued for measures to increase the authority of the Agency.

The head of the Anti-Corruption Agency, Hasan Preteni, proposed concrete measures to strengthen the role of his institution in judging the declaration of assets by senior public officials and increasing the effective follow-up of reported corruption cases.

EULEX is currently running a public information campaign to increase awareness of the reporting line of the Anti-Corruption Agency.
